A reminder most game leaders are new to the task and training is very different to on game experience.
Game leaders are not always going to get it right early on, and we need to make sure all parents, coaches and managers are understanding of this.
Some of the game leaders are as young as 11 and need some experience and confidence under their belt – please help them with their journey so you have older referees when it becomes crucial.
There may be games when we do not have enough game leaders and parents will need to step into the role so please all refresh on the rules. Where possible we will give you notice, however sometimes it does become a last minute shuffle with someone sick etc and we do need to ask at the last minute.
For Under 5-7s coaches you are on field with the players so can realistically coach/ Referee both together in the same way.
