The club has stepped everything up this season and put a lot of effort into expanding into higher levels of senior football, with our top mens team in Zone League 3, Coached by Mick Gatt and Captain Brad York.
New player signings, higher intensity training, saunas and ice baths are just a few of the plans put into place in 2025.
Improvements and aiming for higher level football here is not just for our men playing now but for future generations of juniors coming through, giving them a great pathway in football to higher levels, alleviating the need for many players to go elsewhere.
Zone League competition is above any community A grade teams and starts at Zone League 3, continues into 2 then 1 and up through to Northern League One & NPL Mens by way of promotion and relegation.
Our Zone League teams have been doing extremely well with 15 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses , a goal difference of 30 and sitting on 47 points.
We’ve just got news in last night, our First Grade are Premiers in Zone League 3, and the squad will be automatically promoted into Zone League 2 for 2026.
Congratulations to all involved with Zone league 3 – this is a great achievement for not only yourselves as a team but for the entire club and its future pathways.
Zone Leagues last game before finals is at home this Saturday where they will play Barnsley, have the game broadcast on BarTV and be presented with their Premiership trophy.
